An industrial facility and residential buildings were hit by Russian airstrikes today in the northeast Ukrainekilling two people and injuring at least seven, local authorities said.
Three children and a woman were injured by remote-controlled bombs that fell in the center of the city of Nerkhachi, in the Kharkiv region, the governor said Oleh Sinyekhubov through the Telegram messaging app.
Another two bombs hit an industrial facility in his area Sumiaccording to regional authorities.
In another strike, also in the area of Sumi, two people were killed and three others were injured.
The two regions, Sumi and Kharkivborder Russia and have been bombarded frequently since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. In recent weeks the strikes have intensified, targeting mainly political and energy infrastructure.
