The concern of the father, who was calling her on her cell phone when she did not answer, it was supposed to be a lifesaver for the 25-year-old medical student, who tried to kill herself at her home at the junction of Maizonos and Ierotheou streets, in Patras. The police who rushed to the scene, while a locksmith had also been called, they found the young woman to have injured herself, according to “Peloponnisos” information, with a sharp object in her hands.
Having regained consciousness, she was taken by EKAV ambulance to the General State Hospital of Patras “Agios Andreas”, where it was found that there was no reason to worry for her life.
The almost self-made woman reportedly told the police that before the suicide attempt she had fought with her partner. The information that was initially circulated and said that she had reported the man for domestic violence is not confirmed by ELAS.
This is the second incident of suicide attempt recorded in the space of a week in Achaia. On April 17, a 36-year-old woman in Agios consumed a quantity of pills after being assaulted by her husband, who according to the complaint, after they argued, dragged her by the hair into their home and then left.
The 39-year-old man was arrested a few hours later, in the context of the autoforo, while the woman was transferred by prosecutor’s order to the Psychiatric Clinic of the University General Hospital of Patras for examinations.
