Providing assistance to France for protection during the Paris Olympics if requested

The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, categorically denied sending weapons systems to Ukraine, today in his statements from Thessaloniki, after the meeting with the Governor of Central Macedonia.
When asked about this, Mr. Dendias replied that “Patriots will not be transferred, S-300s will not be transferred to Ukraine. The country is not going to be deprived of what is necessary for its defense and the protection of the key interests of our country.”
At the same time, he added that the Ministry of National Defense is a key ministry, in which the doors are always open for informing the opposition parties and political leaders on any issue of national defense. “There is no ND defense ministry, but National Defense”, he said in this regard.
Referring to her involvement HYDRA frigate on the protection of a merchant ship in the Gulf of Aden by shooting down a drone, he said that “it was a highly successful operation to intercept an attack on a merchant ship. End as to the possibility of Greece helping by providing the Crotale anti-aircraft system for the Olympic Games in Paris, he stated that “if France puts in writing the verbal request for the provision of Crotale, for the protection of Paris, for the Olympic Games, our country will consent. Alas if we, the country that has signed a defense agreement with the French republic, does not help in the Olympic Games that represent everything Greek in this world”.
