Departure at 09:00 for Tripoli with a stopover in Alea. Arrival in the city and a walk in the historic center, with its vibrant squares and neoclassical mansions. Saint Basil’s Square, with the imposing church, and Areos Square, with the statue of Theodoros Kolokotronis, are the first stops of every visitor. In Tripoli on Easter day, the roasting of obelia takes on other dimensions: hundreds of lambs are skewered on the grills of the Municipality and a crowd of people gathers in the square to taste the mezedakis and wine and have fun with the Moraitika dances. Return in the evening to Athens with a stopover in Vytina for coffee.
It is certain that Easter in Tripoli is unforgettable for the visitor.
