Panourgias Papaioannou: “Carols keep the tradition of the holidays unchanged…”

The carols of Lazarus were sung to the Mayor of Lamia Panourgia Papaioannoustudents from the Lyceum of the Hellenes of Lamia with the traditional costumes and the Easter baskets they were holding, on the morning of Friday, April 26, at the old City Hall on Sklivanioti Street, in the presence of the Deputy Mayor for Culture-Public Relations Irene Solia.

A few days before the coming of Holy Week, he revived the custom by singing the traditional carols of the Resurrection of Lazarus, with the Greek High School wishing the Mayor and the Municipal Authority happy holidays, with health and happiness.

The Mayor of Lamia, Panourgias Papaioannou, thanked the Lyceum of Greek Girls of Lamia for the carols which, as he pointed out, preserve the tradition of the holidays unchanged, wishing the members and their families a happy Easter.
