Direct coverage of social needs is not something new for Attiki Odos. After 25 years of dynamic operation, it has not only changed the way thousands of drivers move in Attica, but has aimed at a business development strategy in a sustainable way, implementing every year a multitude of activities with the aim of supporting and continuous dialogue with a large circle of different audiences within the framework of sustainable development.

In this context, he is proceeding with the implementation of one more action that will take place during this period, which is the offer of 6 tons of food to 4 institutions in collaboration with the non-profit organization Wise Greece. Wise Greece makes sure that the 6 tons of food are bought from small Greek producers and distributed to four non-profit organizations that focus mainly on children. The benefiting organizations are PIKPA Voulas, the “Friendly Nest” Love Center, in Elefsina, the Hatzikyriakeio Foundation, in Piraeus, and the “Children’s Home” Foundation. Through this energy, the Attiki Odos, in addition to offering to Foundations in need, also supports small Greek producers by rewarding them for their efforts to maintain the quality of their products at high levels.

It is recalled that the Attiki Odos has in the past carried out a number of similar actions such as: donating equipment to Hospital Institutions, donations and sponsorships to local bodies, municipalities and NGOs, while the number of educational programs for the safe use of the road, for young and old, have sensitize thousands of children. And all this not only at the operating limits of the highway but also far beyond them.
