Loud music and obnoxious … profanity are just a few of the features on the 14-year-olds’ ‘menu’ of behavior that has caused the neighborhood to be in turmoil

Not there is a precedent for the behavior of young people in Heraklion, who as soon as night falls become the fear of the neighborhood on Papapetrou Gavala Street. According to complaints from dozens of citizens, the appointment is given around 8 outside a well-known furniture store and the “group” dawns at a certain point, while ostentatiously challenging passers-by and the families who live in the area.

Powerful music and inaudible… profanity are just a few of the features on the behavior “menu” of 14-year-olds which have caused the neighborhood to be upset.

Not a few times, who verbally attack anyone who comments on them, while with unparalleled swagger they create ruckus in front of small children.

The complaints also refer to attacks on cars and passers-by with… lemons which are sometimes done for “havale” with the risk of causing a traffic accident on such a busy road and sometimes to take revenge on the young residents who simply politely asked to leave the scene.

However and in spite of complaints to ELAS, the young “gangsters” do not seem to be moved, continuing their davadziliki.

The hope of the residents of Papapetrou Gavala is to put an end to this situation either with more intensive recommendations from ELAS or for the parents of the young people to take care of them, otherwise as they say they will take drastic legal measures against the behavior of minors.
