A friend of the monarch said that Charles is showing great determination to overcome this disease and that everyone is devoting all their efforts to support him. However, he also pointed out that the situation is more serious than they let on.
Royal columnist Tina Brown recently wrote that Charles’ cancer has brought Prince William and Kate Middleton “terrifyingly close to taking the throne, just as they had hoped for years to be able to raise their children out of the limelight of publicity”.

According to reports the need to revise these plans has become more pressing due to Charles’ health problem. “The plans have come out of the drawer and are being actively updated,” the former palace official explained.
