The Student Festival – Day of Action 2024 was held in Patras for the ninth year with the participation of schools participating in the awareness program for human rights and refugee issues “What if it was you?”, as well as other groups that worked on the same themes. As every year, a network of schools was created at the beginning of the school year with the aim of our students working on issues related to human rights and the acceptance of diversity in all its forms. The children worked on empathy, acceptance of others, understanding the right to equal opportunities for all. They used theatrical techniques, experiential workshops, teaching visits, discussions, creative writing, etc. At the same time, during the same period, the teachers participated in regular training, coordination and information meetings, so that there is common cooperation and mutual support. The culmination of this process was the meeting of all in a big festival at the end of the school year, which, with the support of a large number of city agencies, aimed to spread this work both in the school and in the wider community.
