Her Nicoletta Tsitsanoudi – Mallidis, Professor of Linguistics at the University of Ioannina – Founding Director of the International Summer University, hosted the show today “Take your time” by Prokopi Angelopoulos, on the occasion of today’s anniversary event at the Kanellopoulou museum in Plaka, of his program 10th International Summer University “Greek Language, Culture and Media”, which will take place in Boston from May 28 to June 2, on the topic of teaching and spreading the Greek language in the American community.
As Mrs. Tsitsanoudi said, this is an action addressed to the Greek community with the aim of spreading, teaching and saving the Greek language in the Greek Diaspora, under the auspices and support of the General Secretariat of Hellenism Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Prime Minister was represented by the General Secretary of Hellenism Abroad, Mr. Giannis Chrysoulakis.
Ms. Tsitsanoudi through the show and her VOICE OF GREECE announced the convergence of a Global Forum of Homogeneous Media from the Americas, Australia, Europe, Africa and Asia. As he pointed out, in 2025, immediately after the work of the Summer University, preparations will begin to communicate as best as possible the image of Greece, its Culture and its language. Then, he sent an invitation to ERT and VOICE OF GREECE, who have supported all these actions, to participate in this great project.
It should be noted that the 10th International Summer University is organized by the Laboratory for the Study of Social Issues, Media and Education of the Pedagogical Department of Kindergarten Teachers of the School of Educational Sciences of the University of Ioannina, in collaboration with the Maliotis Cultural Center of the Hellenic College Holy Cross and the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (ACHEPA of America). Its goal is the dissemination and teaching of the Greek language in the American diaspora.
