Charged with possession of drugs – Others apologize over the weekend

The involved hooligans who are accused of the incidents in the Rentis area, in which the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis lost his life, were transferred to the public prosecutor.

These are the first 10 of the 67 arrested for the case of the criminal organization and the murder of the policeman. In particular, three of the ten who are pardoned today are accused of drug cases and the other seven who are accused of participating in the criminal organization, are pardoned today for the part of drug possession.

The apologies of the rest are expected during the weekend.

Kapernaros: “They wanted to kill the policemen”

The advocate of the family of Giorgos Lyggeridis, Vassilis Kapernaros, speaking to the TV station SKAI, said that “we are waiting for the actions of the Authority to complete the work of the police”. He pointed out that for the first time police planning was so coordinated. He added that the attackers “wanted to specifically kill the police officers, as they came out of the stadium in an organized manner.” Immediately after, he emphasized that this is a voluminous case file. “There are many members of the criminal organization. They were carrying out orders, each with their own competence”, said Giorgos Lyggeridis.
