The last goodbye to 34-year-old Antonis Apostolakis, who fell from the White Tower on Monday and lost his life, will be said today by relatives and friends.
In particular, according to information from creta24.gr, the funeral of the 34-year-old will take place at the Holy Church of Ag. Panteleimon in Kamilari, Crete at 11:00.
The 34-year-old Antonis was one of the greatest talents of Heraklion football. After a car accident he was forced to give up his great love, football, while a few years ago he lost his mother.
With a shocking message, his sister, Elena, said goodbye to him on social networks.
“Did you go find mommy? My brother Dodo, have a good trip,” he wrote.
How did the tragic incident happen?
According to information from thestival.gr, all the data gathered by the authorities show that the 34-year-old man, originally from Crete, ended his life by falling from the White Tower.
ELAS is examining the video footage from the monument’s security cameras, which shows the moment the 34-year-old man falls into the void.
In the video in question, as reported by the same media, the man is seen to be alone at the scene and take off, going over the guardrail, ending his life after falling into the void.
