Actress Sophia Bush spoke about her love life and her relationship with soccer player Ashlyn Harris in an interview with Glamor magazine in which, among other things, she revealed that she is queer by writing “I feel like I can finally breathe”.
In the same article, the 41-year-old actress admits that she is in love with Harris, who they first became friends with in 2019 and eventually moved on to a relationship after her October 2023 divorce from Grant Hugh.
“I didn’t expect to find love in this support. I don’t know how else to put it: I didn’t realize it until I realized it,” Bush wrote.
In the same interview, the One Tree Hill actress mentions that she had told her previous relationships that she was attracted to women.
She also called her relationship with Hughes a “new frontier”: “It’s very easy not to realize what you see in front of you for a long time and it’s now an option that you weren’t looking for as an option.”
“What I saw was a friend with a long and happy life. And now I know she was thinking the same thing about me,” concluded Bush about her relationship.
