The weather after the invasion of the African dust and the slight drop in temperature is preparing to surprise us once again. Specifically, according to the EMY forecast for Friday (26/4), the weather is expected to be generally sunny. However, in the midday and afternoon hours, clouds will develop in the continental areas and mainly in the mountains of the western and northern country, there will be local rains or showers. Visibility in the morning and evening hours will be limited in places mainly in the west.
Winds will blow from western directions in the Ionian 3 to 4 and in the Aegean 4 to 6 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly in terms of maximum values and will reach 20 to 22 degrees Celsius in most areas.
In fact, on Easter Sunday in Attica, Evia and Thessaly the thermometer will reach 30 degrees Celsius.

Clearchos Marousakis gave a first glimpse of what to expect, with conditions remaining unsettled. In particular, he said: “Maundy Thursday until Easter Monday, it is very likely that we will encounter unsettled weather conditions mainly in the west, central and north and especially midday and afternoon hours when we may have storms and showers.

Sakis Arnautoglou in his post emphasizes, among other things, that “according to today’s data, from next Sunday, but also on most days of Holy Week, the weather will remain good in most areas of the country, with a few local showers in its mountains central and northern Greece during the warm hours of the day. The temperature at noon will remain at fairly normal levels for the season, along with relative coolness at night and in the morning hours.”
With reference to Holy Week, he noted that northerly winds will prevail, which only in the Aegean will reach 5-7 and possibly in the Cyclades locally 8 Beaufort. He characterized the weather for Easter Sunday as puzzling, in terms of the possibility of occurrence of phenomena and in which regions of the country, because in terms of temperature it should still be looking towards spring.

The meteorologist Panagiotis Yiannopoulos emphasized that the Holy Week will start with north winds but “we do not have details yet”. As he said, the indications show us temperatures that we should normally have at the end of May. That is, in Athens 26 to 28 degrees. “We will see the details in the next few days,” he added.
According to the meteorologist, Anastasia Tiraskis, the temperature in the mainland will reach 26 to 28 degrees, while the strengthened north winds of 6 to 7 Beaufort in the Aegean will also be characteristic of the weather.
