Crete: Easter brings people to the hotels and the German tour operator pays its debts

At the same time, tourism entrepreneurs feel relief after FTI’s takeover of Germany’s third largest tour operator, which was facing a sustainability problem and owed millions of euros to hoteliers in Crete.

It was acquired by a global investment firm focused exclusively on the travel and hospitality industry.

THE tour operator in a letter to his partners from the hotel industry he states that he will settle them outstanding debts, underlining that intends to return to normal payment terms soon.

The FTI has a strong presence in Greece and especially in Crete where this year he strengthened his program with open hotels and corresponding air connections, until November.

According to the president of the Pancrete Association of Hotel Managers Giorgos Sfakianakis, there are assurances that the debts will be paid by mid-May.
