There was a near tragic incident involving a 70-year-old female tourist at the E-5 gate of port of Piraeuswith the woman ending up in the sea.

According to the Coast Guard, the 70-year-old woman, who was a member of an excursion group originally from France that was going to board the ship “NISOS NAXOS”, and while heading towards the catapult, probably lost her suitcase and in trying to catch it, she ended up in sea.

A coastguard dived into the sea and managed to get her out alive, while EKAV and PPA ambulance crews immediately arrived at the scene and provided her with first aid.

However, according to information, the 70-year-old is in good health.
