This morning, police officers from the Security Sub-Directorate of Corfu proceeded to arrest five citizens, who were in possession of gold jewelry worth more than 30 thousand euros.
The arrest took place in the port of Corfu, when the five were trying to board the ferry to Igoumenitsa and cross to the mainland.
According to the “KS” report, the Security Sub-Directorate had long identified the “spiral”, which was carrying out thefts, and was waiting for the right moment to dismantle it. The five were brought to the Sub-Directorate of Security, while within the day they will be brought to the Corfu Prosecutor’s Office.
