The works started again, after the decision of the Council of Ministers

The work started again today, Thursday (25/4). construction of the Flyover in Thessalonikiafter the decision of the Council of State (StE) to reject the application for suspension of operations which had been submitted by the Association of Residents of the Constantinople Settlement and other bodies.

It is recalled that initially the CoE had issued interim order on April 9, with which it suspended the progress of the works for the construction of the elevated expressway as the Ministry of the Environment, which represents the Greek State in the whole process, had not submitted a complete file to the CoE with all the documents.

The temporary order was valid until the issuance of a decision on the request for suspension filed by the Associations. After today’s development and the rejection of the suspension request by residents and agencies, the work on the construction of the Flyover can continue.

As stated in thestival.gr the lawyer of the Association of Residents of the Neighborhood of Constantinople, Alexis Adamidis, the decision was communicated to the residents yesterday at noon. Commenting on this development, Mr. Adamidis expressed his strong concern saying characteristically that “the project will continue on a study that has been modified. They perform a study that has been modifiedwe don’t know how this is done”.

It is noted that on May 22 the main appeal for the cancellation of the project is expected to be heard.
