The statement of the ND MEP candidate, Vicky Flessa for Tempe disaster comments on a video posted on social media by the president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis.

In particular, it states: “Did you know that you are… murderers? Watch with me a shocking statement. I repeat the unthinkable.” Mr. Kasselakis quotes the statement of Mrs. Flessa who mentions in her speech: “We killed the children in Tempi all together.”

Then Mr. Kasselakis addresses the audience saying: “And you who are now watching this video! It is that well-known logic, that the country went bankrupt because you didn’t get a receipt from the bakery, not because some people embezzled the public funds. Only here the shame reaches its extreme: An entire society is baptized as an accomplice in the crime of Tempe because a government does not want to admit that it left the remote control burning, that it hired an inappropriate station master based on party criteria, that it rigged, rigged, covered up.”

He then underlines: “No, we are not all complicit. And please, do not tolerate any more of this blame-shifting, this guilt-tripping that this government so insidiously subjects you to. I note that Mrs. Vicky Flessa, who made this appalling statement, remains a candidate for MEP of Mr. Mitsotakis. Obviously it expresses him.”

Marinakis: Koptoraptiki, talks about the pathologies of the public sector

Earlier today, the government representative was asked about the statements of Vikis Flessa Pavlos Marinakis who spoke of a typical case of cutting and sewing since, as he noted, a phrase of the journalist was isolated.

“I think that this is a typical case of cutting, isolating – to be precise – a phrase. If one sees the overall analysis made by the ND MEP candidate, one will understand that she is talking about the long-term pathologies of the Greek State, the Greek State” said Mr. Marinakis and added: “She mentioned the pathologies, she also talked about in Tempe, he also spoke about the Eye. In no case, however, does Ms. Flessa, nor any of us, consider that there is collective responsibility for this tragic accident. The responsibility is specific, which is personified, at the end of the day, by the Judiciary. To those who are considered by those who have the authority to investigate the case, investigators and prosecutors and to a lesser extent, the judges who will try the specific case, who are responsible, to what extent they are responsible and what will be their penalties. Mrs. Flessa, I repeat, spoke, made an analysis of the perennial pathogens, which – to tell the truth – met with human error. How, however, these are distributed at the level of criminal responsibility, this is not collective. This is very specific. It is being investigated by Justice and only Justice will decide. Whether this concerns Tempi or it concerns Mati, which is a more advanced case now, an older case, just like any case that goes to Justice.”

Flessa’s answer

Ms. Flessa, responding, accused SYRIZA and its president of falsifying her statements, stressing that this is the subject of “falsification and immoral political exploitation”

“Organized, SYRIZA and its president together, Stefanos Kasselakis, continue to falsify my statements. Consciously. At a presentation of my book at the Multiple Sclerosis Association 10 days ago, a lady called me “why Mrs. Flessa are you running with this merciless government of criminals who killed our children” referring to Tempi.

My response to the timeless pathology of the Greek state that causes tragedies such as in Tempi and Mati, with a parallel reference to the responsibility of all of us, is being made today with a delay of 10 days, the object of falsification and immoral political exploitation. The purpose is not only to hurt my face as a candidate, who has chosen to express her opinions with brashness, but also to hurt the ND faction itself,” he said.
