Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke about Nikos Androulakis and the tragedy in Tempi in an interview.

To Nikos Androulakis attacked the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakisstating that “is out of place and time” stressing that on the occasion of an event for which he has received answers, he defames the country abroad.

In his interview with SKAI, the prime minister referred to the Rule of Law issues and insisted that “There is no perfect Rule of Law, which is why the Commission indicates improvements to all countries. It is clear that we have room for improvement, but Greece is not Hungary”.

In fact, he accused the president of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, of being out of place and out of time, stressing that on the occasion of an event for which he has received answers, he is defaming the country abroad.

“At this moment the effort, which is being made and we have also seen it in the European Parliament, is insulting. I will say it again: there is only one judge, the European Commission. Especially in matters of freedom of the press, is there anyone who believes that in Greece one cannot say whatever he wants, wherever he wants?”

Mr. Mitsotakis insisted that he has chosen an opponent and that it is the citizens’ problems, “What happens in the center-left apartment building does not concern me. We are dealing with the problems and we are interested in how to cover the lost ground”, said Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

In addition, the prime minister also referred to tragic accident at Tempe, noting: “In retrospect some things could have been done differently especially in the field of communication as we allowed conspiracy theories to spread. What I know is that there is no collusion, but that’s what the Court will say.”

Mr. Mitsotakis characterized the conclusion of the majority in the Examining Committee as composed and noted: “Certainly the image that was created left the citizens with a bad taste. From the beginning of this process I had pointed out the danger of partisan disputes. First I want Justice to be served. I want it for one more additional reason, in order to put an end to the incredible conspiracy theories, which are offensive and what they do is break the relationships of trust in politics.”

Asked whether the majority would support a proposal for the establishment of a pre-investigation committee, Mr. Mitsotakis reserved himself, in order to study the indictment, repeating that those requesting it have not submitted one.
