In Thessaloniki, the son of Bruce Lee’s teacher – “My father used to give lessons here”

Can the martial arts legend, Bruce Lee may have passed away prematurely, yet there are people who keep alive the legacy he left behind.

His teacher’s son, Andrew Cheng found in Thessaloniki to transfer his knowledge to Greek martial arts enthusiasts.

Men and women of all ages attended the seminar and at the end tried to practice the moves, which were taught by the son of Bruce Lee’s teacher.

“Many years ago, my father used to come here and give seminars and make a big federation, he spread Wing Chun all over Greece and after years it’s time for his son to come and maintain the legacy and continue to teach this system, which does so good. The first martial art that Bruce Lee was taught was Wing Chun Kung Fu and the man who introduced him to the system as his mentor was my father, William Cheng,” he originally told the ERT The Andrew Cheng.

“All martial arts help children to get away from computers and the long hours they waste, to become fitter, with better physical condition. It’s easier for them to concentrate on their studies and everything else they do and even if they leave martial arts, this skill stays with them and follows them for a lifetime because they learn discipline and self-control,” added Andrew Cheng.

For his part, the martial arts master, George Touzozoglou he emphasized that “When Andrew’s father, William Chang, would come, he would sit for at least three weeks, he liked it very much because we really have the warrior DNA, the ethos and the ability.”
