As “creepy” characterized the episode between her MPs Greek Solution and of Spartans inside the Parliament the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

In an interview he gives this time to SKAI, Mr. Mitsotakis also pointed out that this particular episode was “revelatory” about what actually prevails in the far-right political space.

“Everyone should think very carefully if we really want parties in the Parliament, which advocate brutal violence and intolerant racist speech with division and hatred”, the prime minister also called on the voters.

“With the regulation of New Democracy, the Spartans were excluded from the European elections”while he spoke of the bulwark of Democracy in the face of such phenomena, “while some others forgot to submit text”.

“Parliament cannot be turned into an arena”, Mr. Mitsotakis noted, among other things. Among other things, he talked about “Yalaji freshwater patriots”.

Referring to the president of the Hellenic Solution, Kyriakos Velopoulosthe prime minister accused him of commercialization her Christian faith characterizing as unacceptable and divisive the exhortations not to visit the temples by all those who voted in favor of the legalization of civil marriage equality. “They cannot say that they represent the faith, they also got answers from the Church,” said Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

In fact, referring once again to yesterday’s incident of hand-to-hand combat between the two MPs, Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted that “anyone who saw what happened in Parliament comes to the conclusion as to whether these parties are representatives of Christianity and patriotism. There are a lot of freshwater patriots out there.”

The prime minister insisted that the ruling party was against the Spartans from the first moment and through specific actions and declared himself justified “by the fact that this particular formation is excluded from the European elections”.

In addition, Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke about him fence him Evro and to protection of borderswhile he urged the voters “not to use the European elections as an opportunity for easy protest”, choosing a party to the right of the ND.

Mitsotakis: “The message of the June 9 ballot should exude confidence”

Mr. Mitsotakis described it as multi-collective European ballot paper her SW and he insisted that he wants the best possible electoral result, setting as a threshold for the upcoming European elections the percentage obtained by the ND in the previous European elections.

“What I’m interested in is electing as many MEPs as possible,” he said characteristically.

In case of a negative result, Mr. Mitsotakis emphasized that “I already hear the requests for early elections, but it is paradoxical that someone calls for early elections, when they have a threshold of 17%, but this does not concern me. We want the best result, but if it is not good, our lives will become more difficult, neither the government will fall nor we will have elections”.

“The political message of the June 9 ballot should exude stability, certainty and consistency”noted at the same time.

“I want the best possible result”the prime minister also said, while mentioning that the comparison measure for the ballot box of the European elections are the previous European elections (Remember that in 2019 the ND received 33.12% of the votes).

Regarding the femicide her 28 years old outside the AT Agioi AnargyroiKyriakos Mitsotakis said: “It was a punch in the stomach, everything went wrong”, while it was “an incident of great awakening for everyone”.

The prime minister reported that in April alone, 1,245 arrests have been made and 252 panic buttons have been installed on the mobile phones of women living in potentially abusive environments.

“Something is changing”, said the prime minister, while talking about a structure for the protection of abused women, stressing that “every such tragedy should be an opportunity to see what we can do better”.

“In memory of Sunday, we have an obligation to run faster”, he said characteristically, among other things.

“We are cautiously optimistic that we will end fan violence”

Asked about the ongoing investigation against fan violence, the prime minister noted that “it is difficult for me to comment on a judicial investigation, we have done many things to combat fan violence, but sometimes a few drops break the camel’s back. What I can say is that a very thorough investigation was conducted with great secrecy. I have confidence in the Justice that the physical and moral perpetrators will be punished, wherever they are.”

He insisted that the situation on the pitches is better today and reiterated that we will punish the guilty. “For the first time we have every reason to be cautiously optimistic that we will end fan violence. When the state wants to impose legality it can do so” Mr. Mitsotakis pointed out.

“The better the economy does the more wages will rise”

The prime minister acknowledged again that accuracy is a very big problem. “I know that there are households that are being tested and the macroeconomic figures do not concern them,” he noted. He emphasized, however, that the government policy shows results and a certain improvement in terms of transparency and price control.

“If there was a magic formula against punctuality some other country would have found it. Wages are rising because the economy is doing well, taxes have been significantly reduced, there is emergency aid and our focus is always on the most vulnerable, the welfare state is “present”, the Prime Minister pointed out.

He estimated that “the better the economy goes, the more the wages will increase. There are signs that inflation is easing. Competition is one answer. It worked on the electricity bills. Energy prices are lower because competition has worked, and because we have supported households. We also had European support.”

Kyriakos Mitsotakis pledged, in fact, that the government will not stop controls on the market, recalling that fines have been imposed even on large multinational companies.

“What I know is that there is no matchmaking at Tempi, but that’s what the Justice will say too”

Regarding the tragic accident at Tempe the prime minister noted: “Looking back some things could have been done differently especially in the field of communication as we allowed conspiracy theories to spread. What I know is that there is no collusion, but that’s what the Court will say.”

Mr. Mitsotakis characterized the conclusion of the majority in the Examining Committee as composed and noted: “Certainly the image that was created left the citizens with a bad taste. From the beginning of this process I had pointed out the danger of partisan disputes. First I want Justice to be served. I want it for one more additional reason, in order to put an end to the incredible conspiracy theories, which are offensive and what they do is break the relationships of trust in politics.”

Asked whether the majority would support a proposal for the establishment of a pre-investigation committee, Mr. Mitsotakis reserved himself, in order to study the indictment, repeating that those requesting it have not submitted one.

“Greece is not Hungary”

Regarding the Rule of Law issues, the prime minister insisted that “there is no perfect Rule of Law, hence the Commission indicates improvements in all countries. It is clear that we have room for improvement, but Greece is not Hungary.”

In fact, he accused the president of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, of being out of place and out of time, stressing that on the occasion of an event for which he has received answers, he is defaming the country abroad.

“At this moment the effort, which is being made and we have also seen it in the European Parliament, is insulting. I will say it again: there is only one judge, the European Commission. Especially in matters of freedom of the press, is there anyone who believes that in Greece one cannot say whatever he wants, wherever he wants?”

Mr. Mitsotakis insisted that he has chosen an opponent and that it is the citizens’ problems, “What happens in the center-left apartment building does not concern me. We are dealing with the problems and we are interested in how to cover the lost ground”, said the Prime Minister.
