Kourakis Tour in Attica – CRETA24

--

In the foreground, he puts candidate MEP of PA.SO.K. – KIN.AL. Yannis Kourakis, EU Cohesion policies, Self-Government and Regional Development.

This results from the meeting he had in Athena, with his good friend, Mayor of Kallithea, Mr. Costas Askounis, who welcomed him with great joy and emotion and wished him good success in the upcoming European elections. The meeting took place at Kallithea City Hall, where an interesting discussion took place, with the participation of Local Government Executives, on Social, Local Government and European issues.

The statement that Yiannis Kourakis made immediately after his meeting with Mr. Askounis is typical:

“I had the opportunity to meet with my dear friend, Mayor of Kallithea, Kostas Askounis, with whom we served together, as President and Vice-President of KEDE, in the period 2011-2014.

We discussed a Europe that will serve Peace, Human Rights and Sustainable Development, where social, economic and environmental progress will go hand in hand.

We talked about Self-Government, Decentralization and Regional Development, but also about the necessary reforms required for a modern Self-Government with resources, human resources and a strong social footprint.

The central point of our discussion was the Cohesion Policy throughout the EU, and especially in our country, to improve the quality of life in our villages, towns and rural areas.”

After the meeting, the candidate MEP Mr. Yiannis Kourakis met and spoke with citizens and shopkeepers of the Municipality of Kallithea and toured neighborhoods and districts of Attica.
