Easter in Syros and Tinos – Maria Anastasopoulou for the harmonious coexistence of Catholics and Orthodox!

--

On Palm Sunday, April 28, at 12 midnight, the show “Arena” on ANT1 will host a special tribute for Easter in Syros and Tinos!

One day before Holy Week, ANT1 and the show “Arena”, by the well-known journalist, Maria Anastasopoulou, visit Tinos and Syros, which celebrate the Resurrection and the Holy Days of Easter in a different way!

See how the two great communities of the Orthodox and the Catholics experience the passions of Holy Week and coexist together and harmoniously! Maria Anastasopoulou travels to our islands and meets heterodox couples, mixed Catholic and Orthodox families and talks with the Priests of both denominations. At the same time, it presents the customs and liturgies, Epitaphs and choirs that almost complement each other on the Holy Days of Easter, as they celebrate together the Resurrection of the Lord.

The “ARENA” camera also visits Tinos to shed light on the symbiosis of the two communities, but also to participate in a “love meal”. In addition, he enters the Panagia of Tinos, the most important Orthodox pilgrimage in Greece, while he also goes to Kardiani and attends the service of “The Mother Stands”.

In a turbulent time, full of tensions, conflicts and wars, ARENA with Maria Anastasopoulou focuses on two communities that celebrate the Lord’s Passion together at Easter, thus giving a message of reconciliation and unity.

“ARENA” with Maria Anastasopoulou, on Sunday, April 7 at 24:00.
