Today, 25/4, the Minister of Education, Religion and Sports of Greece, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, met with the Most Reverend Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain, Mr. Nikitas, in London.
He also had a meeting with the Ambassador of Greece in London, Mr. Ioannis Tsaousis.
The Most Reverend Archbishop of Thyatira and Great Britain Mr. Nikitas was met today in London by the Minister of Education Kyriakos Pierrakakis. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere. The topics that monopolized their discussion were the recording of the needs of the Greeks who live in Great Britain. Especially, the student and academic community of Greeks, who are there for studies or work.
In the framework of his visit to London, the minister also met with the Greek ambassador in London, Mr. Ioannis Tsaoussi.
Finally, Mr. Pierrakakis visited the permanent exhibition “Giorgos Seferis: the man, the poet, the diplomat” of Greece in UK. The content of the exhibition is the presentation of the most important aspects of the life and work of the poet, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature 60 years ago.
