Olympiacos made the break in the quarter-final series with Barcelona but on Friday at 22:00 they will play again in Barcelona before the series returns to SEF

“It’s clear that we shouldn’t relax,” stressed Olympiakos coach Giorgos Bartzokas. “From the beginning our philosophy was that we came for a game yesterday. Now we go to the second match. We never thought about the whole series, or at least that’s what we coaches try to get across to the players. These series are long, unpredictable and always have twists and turns. This is what experience and history have shown. We just have to focus on tomorrow’s game and look to do our best to win.”

Asked what it means for him that after the break there is no big must and if he considers the trip to Barcelona already successful, he replied: “I can’t say if it is successful. We are not a touring club. What we want to do is make it to the final four, so our mission will be successful if we achieve that fact. In no way do we want to be complacent in tomorrow’s game. We do not want to think that we have accomplished our mission. We want to win tomorrow. We know how hard it is. And yesterday was very difficult. “Barcelona is an amazing team, they have a lot of experience, they have good players in all positions and to win you have to play very well, be focused and it’s not easy at all.”

For his part, Giannoulis Larentzakis emphasized: “Tomorrow is a completely different match. Our mindset is the same as yesterday. It was just one win, we want two more for the final four. We will enter to claim the victory again, as if the previous match did not happen”.

On the two crucial shots he scored 35 minutes from the end when he was called upon to replace the injured Filip Petrusev and what he was thinking at the time, he said: “Nothing important crossed my mind. I know that the coach trusts me, I have confidence in myself, I felt that I would put them on, I went in and put them on.”
