Inside loads of fertilizer they had hidden a large quantity of cocaine leaves. What did AADE find?
Large quantity of cocaine leaves spotted inside cargoes of fertilizers spotted the AADE in her control at port of Piraeus.
According to the relevant announcement, container derived from Ecuador with final destination her Croatiandeclared with a cargo of fertilizers, was impounded on suspicion of having narcotics.
During the inspection by the self-propelled X-ray vehicle, there was an indication of the existence of bags with materials of different density from which samples were sent to the chemistry for analysis, where cocaine was detected.
Following this, they seized:
- 500 bags of 10 tons and 500 kilograms gross weight, containing compost mixed with raw cocaine leaf shavings.
- 400 bags of fertilizer with a gross weight of 14 tons, used as a means of concealment inside the container
The investigation continues to identify persons involved in the trafficking of large quantities of narcotics both in Greece and in the European Union.
