According to the Statistical Authority of Cyprus, the trips of Cypriots to Greece in the first quarter of 2024 showed a 9% increase compared to the corresponding period last year, while bookings for Easter and summer are at high levels, as pointed out by largest TOs of the Cypriot market.
These figures were announced on the occasion of the 25th International Tourism Exhibition “Travel Expo Cyprus 2024”, held in Nicosia from April 19 to 21.
The Regions of Central Greece, Ionian Islands, North Aegean, Central Macedonia, Anat. of Macedonia & Thrace and Epirus, the Municipalities of Volos and Mykonos, as well as the newly established cruise company Neonyx Cruises of Seajets.

The opening of the exhibition was performed by the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Cyprus, Konstantinos Koumis, who then visited, together with the Greek ambassador in Nicosia, Yiannis Papameletiou, the Greek stand, where they had contacts with the head of the Cyprus EOT Service, Petros Sagana, and the co-exponents
During the exhibition, the representatives of the Greek organizations met with the airlines and the most important ТОs of Cyprus, while the cooperation of the Municipality of Alexandroupoli with the Cypriot Top Kinisis Travel for charter flights once a week from Larnaca to the city of Thrace, during July and August.
Also, in the Greek pavilion, the Region of Sterea Hellas with the Agri-Food Partnership of the region organized an event to promote the agri-food products and wines of the region and the Region of Epirus with the EOT Cyprus Service a music and dance performance with the Brotherhood of Epirus “Olympias”.
In total, 44 companies and organizations participated in “Travel Expo Cyprus 2024”, while more than 10,000 people visited it.
