The qualification to the semi-finals of the play-offs of the 1st group of the National League 2 was taken by the Corfu team, as they again defeated Doxa Pyrrou at home and made it 2-1 in the series.
Our artistic team did not succeed again in Corfu, as they were defeated yesterday in the second match of the series by Ionio (they had also been defeated in the regular season of the championship), as a result of which they did not manage to qualify for the semi-finals of the play-offs of the 1st group of National League 2, where Achaia awaited the winner of the series. The home team came in more determined to win and with an impressive first quarter, they led 25-7. Doxa Pyrrou, who had to manage the long absence of their top scorer this year, Luka Iliche then leveled the match, but despite his excellent display Stavropoulou who scored 19 points, the defense could not face him for another match Wilson who is the leading scorer of the match with 23 points. The only thing our artistic team managed was to collect the difference in the last quarter, knowing the defeat with 70-58.
Despite the defeat and elimination, for AE Doxa Pyrrou Artas the season is considered successful, as in its return to the National categories after several years, it managed not only to stay comfortably in NL2, but to equally claim its qualification to the semi-finals of the play -off.
