“Kostas Vidalis” People’s Struggle Front: Call for an open meeting

Friday, April 26 at 19:30 at the Katsigra Building – amphitheater, the People’s Struggle Front “Kostas Vidalis” will address.

“This year marks 79 years since May 9, 1945. May 9 is a landmark day for all humanity. It is a day of victory of the peoples against fascism – Nazism, as imperialist – Nazi Germany surrendered unconditionally, accepting a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Red Army with the red flag flying in the Reichstag.

The EU has included in its official ideology the unscientific “theory of the two extremes” equating the heroic struggle of the Red Army and the people’s anti-fascist armies of the Second World War with the Nazis, while consistent in its efforts to reverse history, has named May 9 “EU day”.
No matter how hard he tries, he cannot erase from the collective memory of the peoples that the defeat of Nazism and the end of the Second World War came with the heroic armed struggle of the peoples and with the magnificent contribution of the Red Army.

In today’s moment of deep structural crisis of the imperialist system, the US-NATO-EU imperialists, led by American Imperialism, are pushing humanity to the brink of a new world war. The EU and NATO support Zelensky’s fascist-Nazi regime in Ukraine, with the fascist monster being used as a vanguard in their war plans. At the same time, the genocide of the Palestinian people by the terrorist State of Israel has outraged all humanity.

We therefore consider that the popular forces of our country – and our city – need more than ever to thicken the lines of the anti-imperialist and anti-fascist movement. It is necessary for the very survival of our people that the struggle for the closure of the NATO bases in Thessaly and throughout Greece acquires more massive characteristics. To immediately stop the involvement of our country in the US-NATO-EU imperialist wars, to strengthen the struggle for the immediate exit of Greece from NATO-EU, to acquire massive and popular characteristics in the fight against fascism-Nazism, but also to express the international solidarity to the peoples who are fighting in every part of the world against imperialism with the aim of defeating the NATO plans.

That is why we consider that the defense of May 9 as the Day of Anti-Fascist Victory of the Peoples is an important political task of the political forces and the people’s movement of our country in the fight against imperialism, fascism and government policy.

We invite to an open meeting on Friday, April 26 at 19:30 at the Katsigra amphitheater, political organizations, political collectives, anti-imperialist and anti-fascist movements of our city, with the aim of organizing a microphone gathering of honor, memory and struggle for the 79th anniversary of May 9″ .
