The Directorate of Secondary Education of Larissa and the JOIST Innovation Park are co-organizing an informative event on AI and teachers. The event will take place on Saturday 27 April 2024, 11.00 – 14.00, at JOIST. The event is under the auspices of the Regional Directorate of Education of Thessaly.

Artificial Intelligence meets education. How ready is the education community to safely and effectively integrate Artificial Intelligence and related digital tools into the teaching and learning process? The open event “AI and Educators” aspires to present to teachers of secondary and primary education, all those aspects related to the introduction of Artificial Intelligence in the learning process: learning management systems, use of educational digital tools, user security, existing institutional framework, definitions, techniques and technologies, concerns, dilemmas and benefits.

Trends, implications of the use of Artificial Intelligence in learning, examples of digital educational tools and results, related research and studies will be the focus of interest at this event. Understanding the dimensions of Artificial Intelligence and how it works within the educational context is the first step to its effective use and creative, productive and safe integration into the learning process.

At the event, he will make an intervention online, Konstantinos Daskalakis, Professor in MIT’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and member of MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
