In the south and, mainly, along the beaches, Oreas will walk this Sunday, specifically from Kato Stavros to the beach of Drota, Apergousa and Vatera. A route that will combine the mountain with the sea.

So we are waiting for you on Sunday, April 28 at My Marketin order that at 08:30 to start for Kato Stavros by bus that will be chartered by our association.
Two groups will disembark at Kato Stavros, to start their routes to Vatera at a different pace and, to a point, a different route. A third group will stay on the bus and get off at Vatera. The routes will be as follows:

The first group led by Damianos Stathakis will start from Kato Stavros, will move initially following a strongly uphill off-road route mainly on paths and then will descend towards Ano Drota. From there it will head towards Kato Drota and then along the coast towards Apergousa, it will pass over the rock and end up at Vateri beach. It will be a difficult route, about 11 kilometers.
The second group led by Maria Deligiorgi will start from the same point, Kato Stavros, initially walk uphill on a rural road and then descend towards Ano Drota. From there it will head towards Kato Drota, to continue along the beach towards Apergousa, pass the rock and end up at Vateri beach. The route will be of moderate difficulty and will cover a distance of approximately 11 kilometers.
The third group led by Grigoris Tsoumaris will make an easy route to Vatera beach.

The beaches we will pass through will have the possibility for those who want to bathe. Therefore, we will have a swimsuit and a towel with us. After the end of the routes and the bath, the bus will pick up all three groups, to take us to a restaurant in the wider area for food.
For your participation in our routes good physical condition is essential! It is essential to wear hiking shoes (boots) or durable trail running sports shoes, to have clothing suitable for the season and definitely windproof / waterproof. Also, we recommend wearing long pants due to the high vegetation in some places. Especially on this route we will need to raise our pants up to the knee and take off our shoes to walk in the water. That’s why it would be good to have beach shoes with us.

The submission of a declaration of participation is mandatory, whether you plan to come by bus or by your own car. Even if you don’t plan to eat with us in the restaurant, you must submit a registration so we know who and how many will be walking with us.

Please register (by clicking here) for the bus and whether you will eat with us no later than Friday 18:00. Seats on the bus are limited, so reserve yours in time.

For more information about the organizational part of the hike, call Maria Deligiorgi at 6942934415, while for information about the technical part of the hike, call Damianos Stathakis at 6977915615.
Good luck!
