Marinakis meeting with the leadership group of the criminal organization

--

In a revelation that will cause many reactions and will be discussed, “Jungle” makes about the action of the criminal organization of hooligans, dozens of whose members were arrested in the context of the investigation into the murderous attack on the police officer, Giorgos Lyggeridis, on December 7, 2023 in Renti.

Our website today reveals the testimony of one of the three protected witnesses who, among others, coldly “gives” the president of PAE Olympiacos, Vangelis Marinakis. The owner of the group, according to the revealing testimony of the protected witness, participated(!) in a meeting with the leading group of the criminal organization, which he notes took place after the murder of Katsouri in New Philadelphia. In fact, he points out that “all decisions were made mainly by Iosif Antizas and Marios Chandrinos and the other leading executives”, i.e. by those whom Marinakis also met!

Vangelis Marinakis, as the witness says, allegedly had a meeting with the “Big Ones” of the leading group of the criminal organization, since the protected witness characteristically says:

“They, as well as some other organized fans of Olympiakos, are what we call ‘Great’. By ‘Old’ I mean people over the age of 25 who deal with Gate 7, attend many Olympiacos matches, arrange issues related to the organization of the stand, the transport of banners, flares and smoke generators and also make decisions about big ‘falls’ on rival associations and also on police officers. Here, I want to note that the naval flares and smoke bombs are all out. All decisions are made mainly by Antiza Iosif and Chandrino Marios and the other leading executives. At an Olympiacos match, I heard it being discussed that some of those I mentioned to you participated in a gathering with the Olympiacos management in the presence of the president, Marinakis Evangelos, after the measures announced by the government after the murder of Michalis Katsouris”.

It is recalled that after the murder of AEK fan, Michalis Katsouri, in New Philadelphia, the government announced a new set of measures to combat fan violence, including surprise checks on both the stadiums and the stands, as well as the passing of the control identification at the gates of the organized fans in the Police.

Then in his testimony, the protected witness describes the way in which the “small” are recruited from the “big” due to the connections with the management of the club, but also about the way invitations and tickets are distributed. The witness specifically mentions: “The way the ‘Big’ recruit the little ones is this: Because they know many people in the stadiums, mainly Olympiacos agents in PAE, KAE and Erasitechnis, they have the possibility to put the ‘Little’ in the stadiums for free. In particular, the leading team receives invitations to enter Gate 7 from the Olympiakos administration and distributes them to the ‘Little Ones’ to enter the stadium for free. If they have some left over, they also give them to link members who are not part of their groups. They also take tickets which they sell outside the stadium with a ‘hat’ to ordinary Olympiakos fans who have not managed to find a ticket, for personal profit. I’ve seen people at games shell out a bunch of fifty bucks selling tickets. This is also helped by the accreditation cards carried by the ‘Big Ones’, which are supplied by the Olympiakos administration, which enables them to move freely both inside and outside the sports facilities.”

Also, the protected witness points out that when the leaders of the hooligans give them orders to knock down opposing fans or police officers, they gather mainly at night, as well as for other types of illegal activities, such as protection and drugs.

The same witness makes an impression regarding some of the actions of Chandrinos and Antizas who, as he says, saw them with his own eyes holding a pistol and firing straight shots towards the sea outside the S.E.F stadium during a match. He also mentions that they “sell” protection at the stalls and canteens – of which there are not a few, about 20 – with the skewers and sandwiches that are present at every Olympiacos match that are either outside the S.E.F or outside the Door 7 in G. Karaiskakis «I have seen with my own eyes (s.s. Chandrinos) sending children to break the stalls in case they did not give money”.

Antizas and Chandrinos (the two heads of the criminal organization) were also responsible for the supply of flares and Molotov cocktails to be distributed to Olympiakos fans. Regarding the murderous attack on Rentis in December 2023, the protected witness notes that a call had been made through online applications and everyone knew that the plan was to attack the “MATatzis” at the specific stadium and not at S.E.F or at Karaiskaki because they have cameras “…In the first set we heard orders to go out. We came out 100-150 people, mostly children. Outside I saw Antizas and Chandrinos handing out naval flares and molotov cocktails while some others had their own smoke grenade launchers and flares…”

He is then revealing about the murderous attack against the MAT men “According to Antiza’s order, when he would throw the molotov he was holding, we would continue with the items we had, a launch pen, a naval flare and the molotov was also held by Marios Handrinos.”

Below the protected witness describes the hooligans’ attempt to collect the remains of the fired flares, which they either threw into sewers on the side of the road, or took them with them and burned them in the toilets of the closed Gym to avoid being identified by the police. It also reveals that Marios Chandrinos and Iosif Antizas disappeared after a while.

“I saw the president of Amateur, Michalis Kountouri”

In the closed gymnasium of Rentis, according to the protected witness, the president of the amateur club Olympiakos, Michalis Kountouris, was also present. “whom I saw fighting with a policeman because he didn’t want the Olympic fans to go there.”

Attacks on fans of other teams

Then the same witness, in chronological order, refers to attacks against fans of other teams in the area of Ilio or in Menidi against an AEK fan. Then he describes the attack of the Olympiacos hooligans against the MAT during the Olympiacos – Aris match in December 2021 outside Karaiskakis. The same happened during the Olympiacos-Karabakh match.

Dressed as Santa Clauses attacked an Olympiakos club

It makes an impression that the members of the criminal organization tried to find various imaginative ways to attack the opposing fans, as happened in December 2022, when they dressed up as Santa Clauses and went to Kallithea with motorbikes and cars to attack a Panathinaikos club but also at the home of a well-known Greens fan.

At another point, he emphasizes the action of Yiannis Chalkidis for an incident that took place in January 2023 before the Olympiacos – OFI match. There the witness recognizes Chalkidis, Chandrinos and another with the nickname “Koko” for whom he notes that he is also high in the hierarchy.

The president of Olympiakos was throwing balls on the pitch

Regarding the incidents during the Olympiacos – AEK match in Karaiskaki in April 2023 and after AEK’s third goal, shortly before the end of the match, balls were thrown onto the field from Gate 7 “as did the president of Olympiakos, Evangelos Marinakis”. He then describes how they stormed the pitch after being signaled by some ‘Big Ones’ who were on the field with credentials.

And a second supplementary deposition

The protected witness on 11/1/24 gives a second supplementary statement to the police in which he is again shown photographs of various individuals. In his testimony he identifies several people who are among those arrested.

On January 24, 2024, he is examined a third time and again recognizes various people from the photographs shown to him as well as the vehicles they used during the attacks.
