The operation of the first hydrogen fuel pump in Greece will be a fact by the end of the year. Specifically, as Motor Oil executives reported yesterday, on the sidelines of an event for the presentation of AVIN’s new fuels, the first station is expected to be installed in Agios Theodoros towards the end of 2024 on the stream from Patras to Athens and the second in Akrata at the end of 2025 current from Athens to Patras.

The choice of the specific stations serves the objective of covering both streams (to and from Athens) in order to serve the heavy vehicles coming from abroad, mainly from Italy, through the port of Patras. The pumps at both stations will be of high pressure in order to cover all types of vehicles and in the first phase the fuel will be common hydrogen and then green fuel produced by the Motor Oil facilities.

New generation of ACTION Fuels

AVIN presented yesterday the new generation of fuels, ACTION Fuels, which promise even greater Economy and Protection. This new fuel proves in practice once again the company’s strategic commitment to providing innovative products that meet every consumer requirement, whatever type of driver they are, whatever route they take.

AVIN’s new fuels protect the vehicle 100% due to the special Safety Net technology and improved operation means longer engine life. Equally important is that they are compatible with all hybrid cars.

For petrol vehicles, the new ACTION 100 is a high octane, high performance fuel designed for those who want only the best for their vehicle.

More specifically:

  1. High fuel economy of up to 7% based on vehicle tests in real conditions and dynamometer tests
  2. Up to 100% cleaning action
  3. Optimal cleaning of injectors, up to ≥94% clean up in the first 24 hours of operation
  4. Environmental protection with a reduction of up to 6% in the carbon footprint (CO2 footprint) as well as a reduction in CO, HC, NOx emissions
  5. Increased performance with up to 4.2% power improvement and up to 4.4% & 5.9% acceleration improvement in 0-100km/h & 0-200km/h respectively
  6. Improved torque and smoother engine operation through the cleaning action and significant reduction in friction brought about by the new fuel

While correspondingly for vehicles that use diesel, the advantages are just as many:

  1. High fuel economy of up to 7% based on vehicle tests in real conditions and dynamometer tests
  2. Very high cleaning action from the first filling of the engine injectors.
  3. Protection of the environment with a reduction of up to 6% in the carbon footprint (CO2 footprint) as well as a reduction in CO and soot emissions
  4. Optimum performance with up to 4 extra cetane (~ +8%) and reduced friction
  5. Drastic reduction of machine noise
  6. Significant reduction of oil foaming so that we have a faster and more complete filling
  7. Full antifreeze protection

As pointed out by General Manager of Avin, Mr. Yiannis Raptakis: “With the new ACTION Fuels, AVIN proves once again what evolution means and what value it attaches to a brand like AVIN’s. If I could sum it up in one sentence: AVIN comes from afar, and will go far. We are a company with foundations and values. Connected to the Greek feeling and to the size of the Motor Oil Group to which it belongs. With a history of close to 50 years, with a dominant choice of pioneering, innovation, quality, reliability and trust. Because trust is the number one factor in fuel selection.”
