The Union of Judges and Prosecutors condemns the “anti-institutional and anti-procedural behavior of the advocate – party president of the Greek Parliament against the President and the Prosecutor of the Single Member
Criminal Court of Volos” says the relevant announcement about Zoe Konstantopoulou.

In its announcement, the Union of Judges and Prosecutors mentions about Zoi Konstantopoulou that “this kind of actions, although rare but not negligible, constitute disciplinary controllable behaviors, which insult the prestige of the co-workers of the Justice and undermine the trust of the citizens towards the institution”.

“The State and the competent institutions must take all legislative and other measures to deal with these phenomena” continues the announcement and concludes:

“Courts are places where legal and substantive claims are contested, for the purpose of strengthening the law and awarding the Right. Actions aimed at turning courtrooms into a communication showground are reprehensible and much more so when they come from a person who has sworn to protect the Constitution and strengthen the principle of the Rule of Law”.

All this, after the tension in the courts of Volos, with Zoe Konstantopoulou suing a judge saying that “you are taking orders from Beo”.

All this, in the episodic hearing in the courts of Volos during the trial of Thomas Klimopoulos and Ar. Fragoudakis, after a lawsuit by councilors of the Beu faction, for causing incidents at a meeting of the Volos Municipal Council in 2017.
