The Prosecutor’s Office proceeded with criminal prosecution for violence against Konstantinos Floros

“He punched me in the face. He dragged me to the floor. I can’t listen to anyone’s fantasies”, said, among other things, the Hellenic Solution MP Vassilis Grammenos speaking on ANT1’s Breakfast about the unprecedented episode with Konstantinos Floros in the Parliament.

According to the member of the Hellenic Solution, the former member of the Spartans was against him.

Constantinos Floros facing the Justice

It is recalled that after the incredible scene inside the Parliament, the current independent MP, Konstantinos Floros, is facing a prison sentence that can reach up to 10 years.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office proceeded to initiate a felony criminal prosecution for violence against a member of parliament during the performance of his duties (Article 157PK), with him requesting a deadline to apologize and until then to remain in GADA, as he was arrested in the context of the self-immolation.

Constantinos Floros is unrepentant

Speaking to MEGA, Mr. Floros said about the incident: “The whole scene started with Mr. Chita’s speech about the removal of Mr. Velopoulos’ immunity, which is due to a lawsuit filed by my father against Mr. Velopoulos for slander defamation through fake twitter profile. Mr. Chitas mentioned at some point in his speech that Mr. Velopoulos had nothing to do with this specific case. At the time, I replied that the courts would decide that, not you. At that moment Mr. Grammenos threw himself unnecessarily and without me addressing him and said “Shut it up, you trash”. I told him “Come on c…” on my nerves because I have precedents with Mr. Grammenos. He answered me “c… your mother”. He leaves.

I didn’t follow up even though I turned around and said “what did you say?” at that moment because I don’t accept anyone putting people who have nothing to do with the specific issue into political confrontations. Let alone my family and my mother who is the most sacred thing I have. That is why I do not regret any action taken when my mother is cursed. I think everyone would react the same way.

“From then on, Mr. Grammenos, instead of getting up to leave, because he got up at that moment to leave, comes back again provoking me with gestures, making k…fingers and symbols with handcuffs, that he will c…my mother and take me away inside the prison. At that moment I stood up because he was going to run away directly towards the exit of the parliament. I caught him from the front. There was also the policeman, the guard of the parliament, who had also put his hand in between. Mr. Grammenos was sticking to me with his body in front of me and I was saying to him “what did you say? Say it here in front of the policeman. Why don’t you say what you said inside and tell it to the policeman in front?’ At that moment he pushes me away, pushes me to enter the room. I out of reaction, you want to defend, reaction as you want to call it, I grabbed him by the collar and threw him down. No punches or anything else that has been said has happened in the slightest. That can be proven anyway in any way of forensics or whatever if I punched anybody. If anyone is scarred by all this it might be me. On my neck where I also have some scratches. From the collar like a headlock and I threw him down.”

What Vassilis Grammenos testified

“Examined under oath by officers of the Sub-Directorate of State Security”, Mr. Grammenos, as stated in the EL.AS information note, said that “the attack he received from Mr. Floros was carried out with the aim of preventing him from carrying out his duties as Member of Parliament. Furthermore, due to his injury, Mr. Grammenos was not able to vote, in the context of the above voting. Following this, Mr. Floros was arrested by the Y.K.A, for violation of article 157 of the Criminal Code. “Insults against the President of the Republic, the Parliament or the Government and local self-government bodies” and in accordance with article 62 of the Constitution”.
