Gray brigade leader Nikos Kypsidis made it through to the Silver week final on Tuesday’s episode, with his team however at loggerheads over how to use the €20,000 prize money the winner will receive.
In Wednesday’s episode (24/4), Lefteris revealed a conversation that took place between Nikos and Kostas.
“Nikos went and told Kostas that no matter what happens, whichever one of us gets the prize, the two of us should share it. We were not bothered by what happened, as everyone has the right to do what they want with their money. It seemed to me, however, that all this was a little hypocritical in terms of the image that Nikos showed towards me, I’m not talking about the others” said the competitor of the gray brigade.
Kostas confirmed that Nikos approached him, which irritated Christos. “Nikos caught me, he spoke to me, Christos didn’t think it was right, they came to a rift. I felt sad because we’ve been in here for so long and when money comes in the way and there are misunderstandings like that, I get alienated.”
“Nobody approached me, I wasn’t going to share the prize with anyone anyway. Christos sees it completely romantically, I didn’t even understand what he was saying, I didn’t even ask him, I’m not interested in finding out. This money will come for fun outside after work. I will not sit down and kill myself with my opponent for 20,000 euros. It’s a big amount, but my conscience and my value cost more” Nikos Kypsidis said in turn.
Then Nikos Kypsidis made some clarifying statements. “Because I hear different things and they might take out Nikos (that is, him) somehow, I thought that if I won the prize and Kostis was with me in the final, I would give a gift to all the children and whatever was left over I was sharing 50-50 with him. The reason is very simple: we are very close and without malice I made this thought. There was no deal or anything. But also in the final if I win, the prize will be mine and I can do whatever I want with it.”
Christos Moiras said he was “stranged”, as he had suggested to those he considered friends and who claimed the 20,000 euros to share the amount between them (these 5 people), whoever the winner is. “I thought we were a group and I suggested a way for us all to get something out,” he said.
Worth mentioning is that from yesterday’s test, Christina finally emerged as the winner, who will face Nikos in the Silver week final.
