A regular meeting of the Central Greece Regional Council took place yesterday, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, live in the “Lambrou Papadima” meeting room (Ainianon 6-8, Lamia) and at the same time with a video conference, while it was broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Central Greece Region.
Before the agenda and on the occasion of a related question, the Regional Governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos, informed the body about Civil Protection issues, as well as about the content of the working meetings he had with the political leadership of the competent Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, in order to prepare respond in time for the fire season.
During the meeting:
The temporary traffic arrangements to serve the traffic during the execution of the works were unanimously approved:
- “REPAIR OF DAMAGE TO THE NATIONAL ROAD 77 (PSCHNA – PAGONTA SECTION)”, “COMPLETION OF SEWAGE AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY IN THE WIDER ISTIIA AREA”, “REPAIR OF DAMAGE TO THE PROVINCIAL ROAD “SKYROS – LI NARIA”.
- The 2nd Amendment to the Budget for the fiscal year 2024 of the Region of Central Greece and the Report on the results of the implementation of the Budget of the Region of Central Greece until the first quarter of 2024 were voted.
The Regional Council of Central Greece proceeded to amend the Technical Program of the Region of Central Greece for the year 2024, in order to include new projects, such as the following:
- “BUILDING AND MUSEOLOGICAL – MUSEOGRAPHIC STUDY FOR THE CREATION OF A MODERN EUROPEAN MUSEUM IN THE EVOIAN QUARTER CIRCLE OF CHALKIDA”, budget 85,000 euros.
- “RECONSTRUCTION OF CEMENT COATING DEPARTMENT AT TOEB LEIANOKLADIOU”, budget 60,000 euros.
- “MINING DRILLING AT TOEB D.PHIOTIDAS”, budget 60,000 euros.
- “PILOTIKH EFAPMOH ANEPAFHS PAPADOSHS/PAPALABHS EGPAFON ME TH XPHSH THYPIDAS (smart lockers)”, budget 37,200 euros.
Upon completion of the meeting, the Regional Governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos, stated: “Today we took a first, decisive step towards the creation of the “Modern Museum of Evripos”, but also for the pilot application of “smart lockers”. An innovative service, which is implemented for the first time and gives the possibility to serve citizens beyond working hours and without waiting.
At our Regional Council meeting, the amendment of the Technical Program was also approved to include and implement new projects. At the same time, we informed the Regional Councilors about preparatory meetings and actions that we have already taken, so that everyone – from the competent Ministry to the Municipalities and the involved services – is ready for the fire season”.
The President of the Central Greece Regional Council Loukia Theodorou emphasized:
“Our meeting ended with the voting of all the issues on the agenda and with the discussion of the questions raised by colleagues of all factions, but also with two resolutions, from the faction “Our Homeland the Solid” of which one was approved by the Regional Council on the docking of the destroyer “Velos” in the port of Kymi. With my best wishes to all my colleagues and the people of Stereohella for a Happy Holy Week and a Happy Resurrection”.
