The cruise ship “Hamburg” in Mytilini – Warm welcome from the operators

The cruise ship “Hamburg” with 331 German and French tourists arrived at Lesvos at noon yesterday from Istanbul and docked.

This is the first cruise ship to approach the Port of Mytilene for this purpose and the reception extended by the representatives of the local authorities to the visitors and the crew was warm.

In this context, the President of the Union of Tourist Agents, Panagiotis Chatzikyriakos, the Deputy Mayor of Tourism and Entrepreneurship, Nikos Giannakas, the President of the Port Fund, Panagiotis Taktikos, as well as service representatives visited the cruise ship welcoming the guests, the captain and the crew.

Everyone in his statements pointed out how important the cruise is for the island’s economy, while they emphasized the need to build a dock where the cruise ship will moor and the passengers will not have to get off the ship with lanyards.

Also at the entrance of the Customs, members of the Mandamados Cooperative offered treats to the visitors.

The next stop will be Delos and Mykonos and the final destination will be France.

This passenger ship is under the flag of Panama. Its length is 144.13 meters and its width is 21.5 meters.

The next cruise will take place on 5/29.
