April 29th – World Wish Day – is a milestone date for Make-A-Wish worldwide and the anniversary of the celebration of Chris’s 1st wish coming true 44 years ago, he became a police officer for a day. Chris was a source of inspiration for the creation of the organization (you can read more here). This day, every year, is celebrated in 50 countries around the world in a special and spectacular way.

The Make-A-Wish (Make-A-Wish of Greece) on April 29, with a meeting time of 20:15, organizes the established annual walk, Walk for Wishes 2024, in Athens, Thessaloniki… and beyond! This year, on the initiative of families of children of wish, the walk will be held in other cities throughout Greece, and among them is our city, LARISA! The walks will be at night so that we can light up the Greek sky, from one end to the other, in the blue color of Make-A-Wish with special lanterns and illuminations, while the marches will be led by wish children and their families. With these symbolic walks we will honor the children of hope who fought a serious illness and got well, or who are still fighting, but also the memory of those who lit our way.

The walk will be held in our city, under the auspices of the Municipality, and the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa will be illuminated to mark the end, while the progress of the walks will be broadcasted via RHYTHMO 94.9 from each city!

Participation is free, while we urge those who wish to do so to purchase the special kit – a special flashlight with a battery and keep it during the walk – from www.makeawish-eshop.gr or from the following points of sale
