City Council of Patras: The proposal of the “People’s Gathering” for the contract holders was approved by a majority

During today’s (Wednesday, April 24) meeting of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Patreon, regarding the issue of the contract holders of the public benefit work of the OAED, the House approved, by a majority, the following proposal of the “People’s Rally”:

Violence and terrorism against all workers and contract workers, practices the dirty system of human-by-human exploitation. Which exploits unemployment to terrify them, to lead them to the era of “let him who saves himself save himself”!

The Municipal Council decides to claim:

• Immediate announcement of all vacant organic positions of the municipality through ASEP, grading of all those who worked in the Municipality (through OAED etc.) and gained experience.
• To give here and now the funding to which the Municipality of Patreon is entitled, according to the “Kallikratis” Law, as well as the withheld funds (the Municipalities, while they should share 7.5 billion, share 1.8 billion).
• Here and now an extraordinary grant from the Municipality of Patreon to cover the payroll and insurance of the OAED contractors who remain in the Municipality with court decisions.
• Repeal the law that prohibits the conversion of fixed-term contracts to open-ended ones. As well as the Voridis Law which mandates the mandatory filing of an appeal and the exhaustion of all remedies in the event of a positive first instance court decision for employees.
• Salary and rights, according to the Collective Labor Agreements, depending on the specialty of the contract holders through programs.
