The unprecedented episode in parliamentary history that occurred on Wednesday in the Parliament, when a member of the Hellenic Solution was attacked by a former member of the Spartans, seems to have deep “roots”.

In particular, the member of Hellenic Solution, Vassilis Grammenos, was punched by the now independent member of parliament, Konstantinos Floros.

It should be noted that, today, in the Plenary Session of the Parliament, the request to lift the immunity of Kyriakos Velopoulos was discussed, following a lawsuit by the father of Constantinos Floros, regarding anonymous accounts on social media that insult him.

According to information from “Protou Thematos”, the feud between Kyriakos Velopoulos and the Floros family began a few years ago, when Efstathios Floros, an officer of the E.A. of the Navy and co-founder – as he claims – of the Hellenic Solution, was “ostracized” from the party.

In fact, the conflict is going to be taken to the courtrooms, as Efstathios Floros has filed a lawsuit against the president of Hellenic Solution for defamation.

Lawsuit for abusive comments on social media – The obscene posts

According to the same information, the plaintiff claims that Kyriakos Velopoulos and his close associates have set up fake accounts on the “dark” internet and are “executing” their political opponents. One of the victims – as he claims – is himself, with the well-known troll “ULTRA LISI NIKIFOROS” targeting him with vulgar posts about his sexual identity. One of the mildest comments he receives – according to him – reads “what business did you have in Syngrou in a sailor’s uniform?”.

The file of the lawsuit was forwarded to Parliament about 10 days ago and it is reported to include dialogues from a group chat on social media that reinforce the plaintiff’s claims.

The lawsuit in question and the request to lift the immunity of Kyriakos Velopoulos were discussed today in the Plenary Session of the Parliament, when Konstantinos Floros attacked the MP of the Hellenic Solution, Vassilis Grammenos.

For the record, the Plenary of the Parliament decided by a majority to lift the immunity of the leader of the Hellenic Solution, Kyriakos Velopoulos, with 258 votes “for”, 8 “no” and 3 “present”.
