Upon its completion, it will unite three regions (Kastoria, Eordaia, Amyntaio) and will be a springboard for regional development, while reducing distances and increasing road safety.”

The Kleisouras tunnel is two-way with a length of 1,365 m, an escape tunnel of 1,383 m and has a completion horizon of 2025.

It will have one lane in each direction with a width of 3.75 m, it is being built in the Kotouri stream section – Kozani Prefecture borders, and is expected to greatly reduce the travel time from Kastoria to Ptolemaida (and vice versa).
