What did the inspections of the Environmental inspectors in Mykonos show about the abuses

Since April of last year, inspectors from the Corps of Inspectors and Auditors of the Ministry of Environment and Energy have gone to Mykonos five times to check the detection of illegal construction. The last check was on April 1st.

The findings:

Principles: All arbitrary constructions were demolished. The constructions that had evidence of legitimacy (building permit and affiliations) have remained.

Nammos: An on-site inspection by a team of inspectors of the service will be carried out in order to confirm the findings of the June 3, 2023 conclusion of the competent Building Inspector, according to which parts of the arbitrary buildings that were included in the Demolition Protocol have already been demolished. An on-site inspection by the House will follow.

Scorpions: The audit found that a number of arbitrary constructions have not been removed.

Solymar: The company had only partially complied with the removal of the arbitrary constructions, while it was fined after appealing to the Central Council for Urban Planning Issues and Disputes (KESYPOTHA) for the arbitrary constructions that remained.

Alemagou: The business has complied with the removal of arbitrary constructions and permit encroachments.

Lohan: The business has complied with the removal of all arbitrary constructions.

Passengers: The demolition of the trespassers has proceeded, which has been verified by a private Building Inspector. A section of the business has been subject to trespass law, so the subordinations must be evaluated by the competent Building Service (YDOM). The Mixed Level will soon conduct a new autopsy.

Kitchen: Some of the illegal constructions have been demolished, while for others, which have been subject to the law of illegals, an objection has been filed with KESYPOTHA and the decision of YDOM is awaited.

Aeonic Suites & Spa: The company has appealed to KESYPOTHA and the case has not yet been finalised. Then there will be an autopsy to check the situation and impose sanctions.

Super Paradise: The company’s compliance was found with the exception of an arbitrary wall inside the plot for which the company has appealed to KESYPOTHA. For the parts of the constructions that are subject to the law of unauthorized persons, the decision of the YDOM is awaited.

Santanna: The company has complied with the removal of arbitrary structures.

Jakie-O Town Bar in Castle Chora: Only partial compliance was found and the company was fined for the structures that remained.

Jakie-O Super Paradise in Plyndri: The business has complied with the removal of all arbitrary constructions.
Checks will continue both in Mykonos and in other destinations.
