G. Kentrotis: To break the shackles of exploitation, fighting for Greece and Europe of socialism (PHOTO)

At the beginning of his speech, G. Kentrotis said that it is an honor for him to participate in the European elections as a KKE MEP candidate.

He stated among other things that the slogan “With KKE much stronger for pan-European counterattack. We are breaking the bonds of the EU! For Greece and the Europe of socialism, for the Europe of the workers, the farmers, the peoples!” it is today relevant, inclusive and true. Today, when the EU has nothing to do with the history of Europe, but is a kingdom of corruption and a producer of scandals, behaving like a superpower, a tyrant and a binding institution, today we need to break the shackles of exploitation, fighting for Greece and Europe of social welfare, peace, solidarity and socialism.

Then, he referred to Higher Education and private universities, he argued the unconstitutionality of the law and Article 16, due to the illogical, paradoxical, illegal (mis)interpretation of the Constitution. He stated that the public universities, not only are not being upgraded, but are being degraded and that the HEIs will be managed and operate like businesses, will be downgraded, and will be closed.

He added that they want to build a supermarket of knowledge and the cost-benefit relationship, which anyway exists in society, will be the one that will determine how the universities will operate, which departments will be closed, noting that this is reflected, for example, and the definitive abolition of the Department of Regional Development in Lefkada. As he also mentioned, with this criterion, even the Ministry of Education and Culture could be closed, if a Translation Department is built in Athens.
