For the sixth day the thriller continues in Veria with the disappearance of 43-year-old Nikos. The mother appeals to anyone who knows anything to contact the authorities.
“Call the police, please I’m a mother and I’m waiting. Just find him, just find him” she said with sobs his mother in Mega.
“Nikos didn’t show anything to leave and never come back. I didn’t expect this and for Nikos to leave for one day at most. I believe something happened,” he added.
The 43-year-old from Makrychori Verias left his house last Thursday morning to go to work. His mother never saw him again.
“On Thursday morning he got up, as always, he left for his work. He took the city car and went to his work. I waited at noon for Nikos to come, he didn’t come. He didn’t come in the evening either. And since then I’ve been waiting, waiting” he continued his mother.
The last signal on his cell phone
The 43-year-old left on the city bus like every day. He had taken all his necessary personal belongings with him. The mother called his work and was told that her son left early. Then he addressed the authorities.
“I say help, I’ve lost my lad. His cell phone showed a signal in Chalcedon on Saturday. His cell phone was ringing until Friday night, we were picking up all the time.”
For last time the 43-year-old’s cell phone seems to have lost its signal in the wider area of Chalkidona, about 40 kilometers from his village. But, he still remains missing.
The 43-year-old’s mother had realized the night before that something was bothering her son.
“He didn’t sleep all night. He was in overdrive Nikos. Philotimos, to help, to do, here in the neighborhood for years no one has a complaint. Anyone who knows and sees Nikos should call,” he said crying the woman.
He has been missing since last Thursday, with the search continuing and his mother’s anxiety intensifying.
