The case now takes the path of justice in the Parliament where the member of the Hellenic Solution, Vassilis Grammenos, was attacked by the now independent member of parliament, Konstantinos Floros after an intense debate.

The independent MP Konstantinos Floros, who was arrested earlier after the physical attack against Vassilis Grammenos, inside the parliament, has been transferred to the building of the General Police Directorate of Attica. Mr. Floros is being held at the offices of the State Security and is expected inside day to be brought before the public prosecutor in Evelpidon.

He may face criminal charges.

Floros: DI regret any act done when my mother is cursed

Speaking to MEGA, Mr. Floros said about the incident:

“The whole scene started with Mr. Chita’s speech about the removal of Mr. Velopoulos’ immunity, which is due to a lawsuit my father has filed against Mr. Velopoulos for defamation through a fake Twitter profile. Mr. Chitas mentioned at some point in his speech that Mr. Velopoulos had nothing to do with this specific case. At the time, I replied that the courts would decide that, not you. At that moment Mr. Grammenos jumped out unnecessarily and without me addressing him and said to me “You stupid piece of trash”. I told him “Come on c…” on my nerves because I have precedents with Mr. Grammenos. He answered me “c… your mother”. He leaves.

I didn’t follow up even though I turned around and told him “what did you say;” at that moment because I don’t accept anyone putting people who have nothing to do with the specific issue into political confrontations. Let alone my family and my mother who is the most sacred thing I have. For this I do not regret any action taken when my mother is cursed. I think everyone would react the same way.

“From then on, Mr. Grammenos, instead of getting up to leave, because he got up at that moment to leave, comes back again provoking me with gestures, making k…fingers and symbols with handcuffs, that he will c…my mother and take me away inside the prison. At that moment I stood up because he was going to run away directly towards the exit of the parliament. I caught him from the front. There was also the policeman, the guard of the parliament, who had also put his hand in between. Mr. Grammenos was sticking to me with his body in front and I was telling him “what did you say; Say it here in front of the policeman. Why don’t you say what you said inside and tell it to the policeman in front?’ At that moment he pushes me away, pushes me to enter the room. I by reaction, you want on defense, reaction whatever you want to call it, I grabbed him by the collar and I threw him down. No punches or anything other than what has been said nothing has happened. That can be proven anyway in any way of forensics or whatever if I punched anybody. If anyone is scarred by all this it might be me. On my neck where I also have some scratches. From the collar like a headlock and I threw him down.”

What does Floros’ lawyer say?

THE lawyer of Mr. Floros, Vasso Pantazis spoke to Newsbomb.gr about the events and about her principal’s position on them.

“An isolated, unfortunate incident, this whole dispute has a personal background, of course it has no political analysis, I cannot understand why there is a political speculation at this time,” he said.

“We live in a society where the criminal legislature has provided for removal of the wrongdoer when there is justifiable indignation for specific acts,” he added.

He also made statements to Newsbomb.gr Mr. Efstathios Floros, father of the MP.

“They caused this episode to my son because he is a witness in the lawsuit and all that was uttered is exactly the vocabulary used by Velopoulos, Grammenos and other party officials. What do you expect from such people who ask the Greek people to vote for them. They will eat a third karpazia after Karatzaferis and Kammenos, now with Velopoulos”
