On Wednesday, April 24, in the afternoon at the always welcoming Megalo Kafeneio in Tripoli, the event – presentation of the book “Disclosures” by the journalist, author and member of the KKE, Mrs. Semina Digeni, took place.
“Releases”, the three-volume work of Mrs. Digeni, includes interviews, articles, excerpts from radio broadcasts, conversations with important persons over a period of many years. This is a series of books that can be read breathlessly.
Mrs. Digeni herself, Eva Galaniadis, journalist, Fani Zachariadou, philologist, and Giorgos Iliopoulos, journalist, spoke about the book. The debate was moderated by journalist Nikos Theodorakis.
What is immediately perceived by the reader of “Disclosures”, is the fact that Mrs. Digeni knows very well in her long journalistic career that in order to be able to extract the information through the questions, you must know your guest well, whoever if it’s him, from the legendary “Red Drink”, the left-wing player from Kalamata who never gave up, to Dimitris Horn.
The immediacy of Ms. Digeni’s speech, the extremely interesting and emblematic personalities presented in the three books, but also the special way she transports the reader and puts him in front of the person he is talking to each time, make these three books one real written “documentary” of the Greek cultural, social, political reality.
