In addition to the initiatives taken by the Regional Authority and the Regional Governor of Peloponnese, Dimitris Ptochos, in matters of irrigation and water supply, the signing of a contract for the supply of a pumping unit for the supply of 8,000 cubic meters to the central pumping station of Anavallos (Kiveri) in Argolis Prefecture was added. The Region of Peloponnese with a now targeted policy and the corresponding planning provides solutions to chronic irrigation and water supply issues.

The contract for the supply of a pumping unit for the supply of 8,000 cubic meters and a smooth starter was signed at the central pumping station of Anavallos (Kiveri) of Argolis Prefecture, with a budget of 1,395,000.00 euros at the headquarters of the Peloponnese Region, in Tripoli.

“We are here to sign an important project for the irrigation of Argolis, and not only that, which comes as a continuation of such initiatives and important projects that we are advancing in our Region and, of course, to ask for the faithful observance of the schedule”, said the Regional Governor of Peloponnese , Dimitris Ptochos.

In turn, the Deputy Regional Governor P.E. Argolidas, Yiannis Manzounis spoke about shielding the Anavallos pumping station. “This is a project that comes to be added to what the Regional Governor of Peloponnese, Dimitris Ptochos, and his colleagues have been doing since the first day they took over the Region and concern serious issues of irrigation and water supply for the entire Peloponnese. With the contract we are signing today, the Anavallos pumping station is shielded”, he pointed out.

Also, the Deputy Regional Governor for Infrastructure and Networks, Andreas Tsoukalas, referred to the 12-month timetable.

It should be noted that with this particular contract, which was signed in the presence of a representative of the technical services and a representative of the contractor, a new 8,000 cubic meter pump is added to the three existing pumps at the central pumping station of Anavallos for better operation in terms of the irrigation of the Argolic Field.

In this way, the capacity and operational readiness of the Anavallos pumping station is shielded in practice and, in addition, energy savings are achieved.

The object of the contract is the supply, transport and installation at the central pumping station of Anavallos:

A) a complete vertical pumping assembly that includes a pump with a nominal capacity of 8,000 cubic meters and a medium voltage electric motor with a soft start device.

B) a medium voltage electric motor soft start device for use in an existing vertical operating pump.

C) an external ultrasonic flowmeter (Clamp on) that will be used to measure the water flow in the central depression pipe of the pumping station

D) Removal of old equipment and removal to a place to be indicated by the Service,

E) Training of operating personnel.
