In it, it is said that the Dimitris Kallianos was admitted to the First University Vascular Surgery Clinic on 4/6/2024 due to gangrene in his left leg.

“Mr. Dimitrios Kallianos79, was transferred to Atticon University Hospital from another hospital and admitted to the First University Vascular Surgery Clinic on 4/6/2024 due to gangrene of the left foot.
The patient suffered from, among other things end-stage renal failure on dialysisdiabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, severe coronary artery disease and heart failure (acute myocardial infarction and repeated percutaneous coronary angioplasty, atrial fibrillation, tricuspid insufficiency, defibrillator placement), pulmonary fibrosis with home oxygen therapy, and genital cancer.
THE patient submitted to successful surgical treatment of gangrenewhile his complex pre-existing problems were evaluated and treated intensively during duration of his hospitalization from all the specialties involved (cardiologists, pulmonologists, nephrologists, infectious diseases).
On 22/4 o patient reported subjective worseningwith stable vital signs and examination of his condition (good communication, good gas exchange and spontaneous breathing, stable hemodynamic picture without support), a picture that did not meet the medical criteria for admission to the ICU.
During the during 23/4 he showed mild symptomsbut with worsening tissue hypoxia (good communication and gas exchange, but a mild increase in lactate which the previous day was completely normal), was evaluated by the ICU and it was decided to admit him to the Intensive Care Unit at 18.30.
According to preparation of transport the patient had a convulsive episode and was intubated. He was taken to the ICU where he remains intubated in critical condition, on mechanical organ support and
systems.
The coverage of incidents that need intensive treatment is the highest priority of Attikon University Hospital and the National Health System. During the turbulent last five years all the intubated patients of P.G.N. Atticon were covered in the ICU of our hospital.
It is clarified that the introduction of of patients in each ICU of the country is done under strict conditions and criteria and after being recorded on a centrally controlled platform of the EKAB, criteria which the specific patient did not meet until 4/23.
It is indicated that according to its data platform of EKABno non-intubated pathological patients were included in the platform in the last month.
